18 Little Things, Big Results

Let’s be honest. I do not have a lot of extra time.

I also loving doing ALL the things!

Yes, I might be a little impulsive (some might say not the best quality: taking a risk).

Others might say spontaneous (a great quality: trying new things).

Personally I think it’s a part of what makes me, me and why I’m able to do a lot of things I love doing. (Also prioritizing…topic for another day.)

Either way, I’m always learning and trying new ways to get the Best Results in just a short amount of time.

So the first thing is learning and personal growth is huge and important to continue throughout life.

When you stop learning you stop growing. – Ken Blanchard

I love learning new things and I’m constantly evaluating my life. I make the joke often that if I could just learn all the time and not take tests I would go to school forever.

Isn’t that was life is??? The opportunity to learn and grow?

Here are some things I’ve learned along the way:

  1. Make time for yourself. Set aside a few minutes each day just for yourself. Take a walk, read a book, listen to music, or do something that calms and relaxes you. (Also dance breaks!!!)
  2. Exercise regularly. Exercise is great for both your physical and mental health. It can improve your mood, help you relax and even boost your self-confidence. (I love my Peloton! Try the app for 60 days!)
  3. Eat a balanced diet. Eating a balanced diet full of fruits, vegetables, and proteins will help you feel energized, focused, and healthy.
  4. Get enough sleep. Making sure you get enough sleep every night will help you stay alert and productive during the day. (This one is a constant battle for me lol)
  5. Set goals. Setting goals and working towards them can help you stay focused and motivated. (Message me if you want to work on setting goals together.)
  6. Develop a positive attitude. Focusing on the positive and not the negative will help you stay positive and motivated.
  7. Journal. Journaling can reduce stress, help with depression and anxiety, focus your mind, and organize your life. (Pro Tip: Try journaling before bed to get all your thoughts and plans out of your mind before bed.)
  8. Take breaks. Taking regular breaks throughout the day will help you stay focused and productive. (Pro Tip: Set a timer if you need to.)
  9. Spend time with friends and family. Spending quality time with the people you care about will help you stay connected and supported.
  10. Read and learn. Reading books and learning new skills will help you stay informed and gain new perspectives. (I have a book club.)
  11. Find a hobby. Find a hobby that you enjoy and spend time doing it. It can help you stay motivated and fulfilled.
  12. Try something new. Trying new experiences can help you stay open-minded and push your boundaries.
  13. Practice gratitude. Take some time each day to appreciate the good things you have in your life. (Check out my freebie Reflect & Set.)
  14. Make time for nature. Spend time in nature to reconnect with yourself and appreciate the beauty of the world.
  15. Find the good in others. Look for the good in other people and be kind to them.
  16. Laugh and smile. Laughing and smiling can help you stay positive and lift your mood.
  17. Take responsibility. Take responsibility for your actions and be accountable for your mistakes. (Ask me how recovery has helped me do this.)
  18. Give back. Give back to your community by volunteering or donating to a charity.

The next thing I want to say is… I don’t do all these perfectly. (Just ask my hubby).

Like anything progress not perfection. I choose to take imperfect action that will result in change, instead of staying stuck. I hope you will step out and do the same 🙂

The third and final thing I want to say is… give yourself some grace.

Now I know, this is easier said than done. For me I can give grace so easily to everyone else and then turn around and hate myself for the exact same thing. I know crazy right? (I never said I was sane lol.)

The message I want to get across is, Change IS Possible if you want it AND you’re willing to put in the work!

So start focusing on one thing from the list above. Do it for a little while until it feels natural and then add another.

Work on believing in yourself, and as you do know you have me believing in you that you can do it too! If you didn’t know, now you do 😉
