•Routines get thrown off.
•Plans get put on hold.
•We worry about our kiddos.
•We worry about our to-do lists piling up.
•Hope others in the home stay well.
•Feel pulled in all the directions.
•FOMO sets in.
•Their energy returns but still unable to go out.
•Exhaustion and feelings of depression creep in…
Okay…
Maaaybe it’s just me … but I have a feeling at least a few of you have been there Have you?
Just want want to start by saying, know you are not alone.
Your thoughts and feelings are normal. You are NOT a bad mom for being frustrated with the situation.
This is a hard season! It is not easy to prepare for. The isolation that happens, can push us over our limits.
If you are entering into a season full of sickies, I’d love to share a few things:
First, I pray protection over your families.
Second please know you aren’t the only one with these struggles, it’s easy to think,
“I’m the only one, I’m a bad mom because I struggle, No one else struggles and has thoughts like me”
•THIS IS A LIE!•
Everyone struggles, maybe not exactly the same, but EVERYONE struggles!
Third, share and reach out to others when you are struggling!
I KNOW how hard that can be … the phone feels like a 1,000 pounds and impossible to pick up, but just do it
But, Racquel, I don’t want to be a burden – what will people think, I shouldn’t be feeling like this, it’s a blessing to have kids, some people can’t, I don’t want to complain…..
I get it! I have heard and thought ALL of these things too and more!
However, if you don’t reach out, how will people know you are struggling?
If you are looking for community, reach out to me I’d love to help get you connected! It’s SO important.
Mama, what YOU are doing is important! Hug those babies and try to find moments to breathe and fuel up.
Maybe it’s a phone call, shower, book, or getting something yummy delivered (Love that we can do that now a days!)
Remember this is just a season You got this!
If you want to connect further I’d love to hear from you!
Are you looking to break free from what’s keeping you stuck and holding you back?
Maybe you are desiring to set some goals or find your purpose in this season. Let’s Connect!!
Rooting for you 🙂
One response to “Being Home with Sick Kiddos is Hard”
YES I BEEN THERE. I TRY TO MAKE SURE TO BREATHE AND PRAY. THEN I WILL LISTEN TO MY FAVORITE WORSHIP SONG. I WILL SING MY HEART OUT TO THE LORD AND IT MAKES ME FEEL IMPOWERED AND READY FOR THE NEXT MOVE. SOMETIMES THE LITTLES WILL JOIN IN AS WELL.
