{"id":10,"date":"2023-01-02T23:23:11","date_gmt":"2023-01-02T23:23:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/funfreeandflourishing.com\/?p=10"},"modified":"2023-02-01T04:16:37","modified_gmt":"2023-02-01T04:16:37","slug":"being-home-with-sick-kiddos-is-hard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/funfreeandflourishing.com\/home\/being-home-with-sick-kiddos-is-hard\/","title":{"rendered":"Being Home with Sick Kiddos is Hard"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><p>\u2022Routines get thrown off.<\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p>\u2022Plans get put on hold.<\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p>\u2022We worry about our kiddos.<\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p>\u2022We worry about our to-do lists piling up.<\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p>\u2022Hope others in the home stay well.<\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p>\u2022Feel pulled in all the directions.<\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p>\u2022FOMO sets in.<\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p>\u2022Their energy returns but still unable to go out.<\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p>\u2022Exhaustion and feelings of depression creep in\u2026<\/p>   <p>Okay\u2026<\/p>   <p>Maaaybe it\u2019s just me \u2026 but I have a feeling at least a few of you have been there <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/tf3\/1.5\/16\/2764.png\" alt=\"\u2764\ufe0f\"> Have you?<\/p>   <p>Just want want to start by saying, know you are not alone.<\/p>   <p>Your thoughts and feelings are normal. You are NOT a bad mom for being frustrated with the situation.<\/p>   <p>This is a hard season! It is not easy to prepare for. The isolation that happens, can push us over our limits.<\/p>   <h3>If you are entering into a season full of sickies, I&#8217;d love to share a few things:<\/h3>   <p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/t25\/1.5\/16\/27a1.png\" alt=\"\u27a1\ufe0f\">First, I pray protection over your families.<\/p>  <p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/t25\/1.5\/16\/27a1.png\" alt=\"\u27a1\ufe0f\">Second please know you aren\u2019t the only one with these struggles, it\u2019s easy to think,<\/p>   <blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"> <p> \u201cI\u2019m the only one, I\u2019m a bad mom because I struggle, No one else struggles and has thoughts like me\u201d <\/p> <\/blockquote>   <p>\u2022THIS IS A LIE!\u2022 <\/p>  <p>Everyone struggles, maybe not exactly the same, but EVERYONE struggles!<\/p>   <p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/t25\/1.5\/16\/27a1.png\" alt=\"\u27a1\ufe0f\">Third, share and reach out to others when you are struggling! <\/p>   <p>I KNOW how hard that can be &#8230; the phone feels like a 1,000 pounds and impossible to pick up, but just do it <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/tf3\/1.5\/16\/2764.png\" alt=\"\u2764\ufe0f\"> <\/p>   <p>But, Racquel, I don&#8217;t want to be a burden &#8211;  what will people think, I shouldn&#8217;t be feeling like this, it&#8217;s a blessing to have kids, some people can&#8217;t, I don&#8217;t want to complain&#8230;.. <\/p>   <p>I get it!
